Rachel Gruber

Administrative Assistant

As a girl who taught herself to code her own website in middle school and took accounting in college just for fun, it makes sense that I would find myself serving a software company in the minute details! I’m an editor and writer by day, and I’ve found that the ability to spot an extra space or typo at the drop of a hat serves me well when dealing with detail-oriented tasks and numbers. I help with administrative tasks (payroll, invoicing, accounting) and genuinely consider my job as making everyone else’s easier in whatever way I can!

I’m originally from Medina, OH and live in Louisville, KY. I have a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology. I love serving my church, seeing my family, playing tennis, making and eating really good food, and trying not to kill plants.

Q&A

Do you deserve a geek badge? Why or why not?

In my own way I think - I root for Cleveland and Ohio State sports, Target is my happy place, and have a Friends reference for pretty much any situation. But I really wanted to parse the difference in semantics between “nerd” and “geek” to answer this question, so I’d like to think that carries some weight.

What’s your favorite quote?

"This job has been given to me to do. Therefore, it is a gift. Therefore, it is a privilege. Therefore, it is an offering I may make to God. Therefore, it is to be done gladly, if it is done for Him. Here, not somewhere else, I may learn God’s way. In this job, not in some other, God looks for faithfulness." – Elisabeth Elliot
